Before we forget what we were trying to do here . . . vector.SWF should load 640x480Starter.SWF, which, in turn, should load slideLoad.SWF. (And we even gave up drawcircles.SWF for starters.) Then press arrows or numbered buttons to go to SWF images.

Our original idea was to exhibit "vector" digital graphics (as opposed to"bitmap" graphics) created in Adobe Illustrator and herein transported into Macromedia Flash. You know, SVG (Scaleable Vecto Graphics) hasn't matured yet.

We do LOVE the posibilities of real animation with a timeline (as in Flash, Director, AfterEffects, and such). The thing we have against Flash sites is that viewers too often are cut out of the action if they don't want to bother downloading the latest Flash player. And then near-sighted (short-sighted) developers don't consider those who cannot see that tiny type that is moving around and cannot be resized.

We saved this bunch as Flash MX 2004 (version 7) instead of version 8 because we didn't want to bother people having to download the newer version of the player. The ActionScript Draw capability does not seem to have varied much since version 7. We have done some simple ActionScript drawing of "moveTo, lineTo" varied colored lines here. If we weren't so lazy, we'd plot out the x- and y-positions in a grid and do some fancy drawing with "curveTo" for flowers and such. Maybe, some day.
